I am very picky when it comes to what cake I eat. In all honest, if my sister didn't make it, chances are I will not like it. She makes all her cakes and frosting from scratch and she has totally brainwashed me in to believing that there is nothing better than her cakes. My top three favorites of her cakes would be her Red Velvet, Chocolate Peanutbutter, and Coconut. I have watched people devour her cake and look for seconds. lol Okay, I making myself hungry so enough with cake talk.
The reason I brought it up was because my creation using Mayzy Art "Jean" is holding a cupcake and the sentiment from Paulette at Create with TLC reads "Sometimes you just need some cake."
Here's my creation...
I cut the card shape (and banner) out using my Cricut. I am teaching a card class in a couple week that will focus on shape cards and this will be one of the shapes. I colored this cutie up with Copics and love how "girly" it turned out to be. I am learning to use my blender for more than just trying to clean up my mistakes. I used it this time on her skirt to define the folds and flairs more.
