Mother's Love

Greetings!

Whew...it is May and Mother's Day is approaching rather quickly.  My mother's name is Rosie so I always have roses delivered to her on Mother's Day, Sweetest Day, Valentine's Day and her birthday.  I didn't think that she really noticed.  I knew she was appreciative, but I didn't think that she picked up on when I sent them.  This past Valentine's Day I was sick and forgot to arrange for the delivery.  She told my sister that she was looking for her flowers from me and they didn't come.  My heart broke a little when I heard that, so I bought her a vase filled with fresh cut gerber daisies (which she loves as well).  They were beautiful Spring colors and all joy was restored to both me and my mom.  I have automatically scheduled the deliveries with the florist so no matter what, Rosie will have her roses.

Here's my creation...

Mother's Love
I used grey cardstock to create this cardbase.  I layered on black cardstock and then SU dp.  I used Carlos to cut the image out and loved how it was able to get every intricate detail of this silhouette.  I used my Martha Stewart punch to cut out the lace layers.  I added some pearls and ribbon to tie everything together.  The awesome sentiment came from Paulette at Create with TLC.  It really completes this little scene of a child handing his mommy a rose.  *tear*
