BIG News…

Greetings!

Thanks for visiting my blog!!

I am so excited (and hope you will be too) because I’ve been keeping a secret for a while and now I finally get to share it with you.

I feel like Oprah Winfrey, because during the month of August, we will get to know a digital artist that we all love and admirer…Mo Manning!  I will ask Mo about what inspires her to create the digital artwork we love so much, and how she got her start in the digi world, plus so much more!

Yep, I will interview Mo the artist behind Mo’s Digital Pencil Too and those super cute digi stamps we can’t create without! If you have never heard of Mo, then what rock have you been hiding under? *gigl* Whether you’re a dedicated follower or newbie to Mo’s beautiful artwork, you are in for a treat.

Also, for anyone that signs up to follow my blog, you’ll be entered in a drawing for a chance to win blog candy from the artist at the end of the month. The fun begins August 1st…so you don’t want to miss out!!

See you on the 1st!!

Craftalicious Challenges

Greetings!

It's a crazy, busy day for challenges (at least for me)!  I am entering another one the cards I did using the Kenny K's image into the Craftalicious Challenge.  The theme for the challenge is "CUTE," so I immediately thought of this adorable (but dangerous) card that I did.

First of all you can't go wrong with purple, and she is cute!  ~TFL

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge

Greetings!

I've posted the following card before; however, this time I am posting it for Kenny K's 1st Challenge.  I told you about how awesome his images are and this isn't a challenge you want to miss out on.  Here's the pic that I decided to use for the challenge, because the theme is Pastels.

Isn't she jazzy and sweet!  I love these images...don't you?  ~TFL

Bicycling...

Greetings!

My inspiration for this card came from two of my co-workers who go bicycling every Tuesday after work.  I love everything about this card (and I don't usually say that about my cards).  I love the colors and the image was truly a gold-mine find on the internet. ~TFL

This is the only kind of bike that I could ride. *gigl*

Next to butterflies...angels are my favorite!  I have been collecting angel figures for years.  I have over 50 different angels.  I will have to post some pics of them.  Paulette at Create w/TLC creating some beautiful angel sentiments and they were my inspirations for these cards.  TFL

Mo's Kai Summertime

Greetings!

Happy Sunday!  I created the following card for Mo's weekly challenge.  The theme of the challenge is to create a summertime card.  I used Mo's cute little Kai on the beach image for this card.  My inspiration kind of came about because of the dp.  I kept laying and playing with it and then *walah!*  the card was created.  TFL

I believe the pinks, yellows, green and oranges scream Summertime.  What a fun image!

Sunday Creations...

Greetings!

What a beautiful day!  I have been busy creating cards as usual.  This card was inspired by the scripture 1Peter 5:7.  I've been struggling with some personal issues and when I saw this image, this scripture came to me.  Sometimes I need to be reminded to cast all my cares on God, because he cares for me and this card is that reminder. ~TFL

Dinasour Bling

Greetings!

Here's a card that I created using an image and sentiment from Create w/TLC.  My inspiration for this card is the color green.  I had al lot of odds and ends green paper and ribbons so it was perfect for my Dinasour Bling.

In order to add bling to my Dinasour, I used my favorite accessory...Stickles.  My friends laugh because I am obessed with Stickles.  I have every color stickle that there is and have used them too!  *gigl*  I do enjoy my stickles; however, you have to really know how to use them or else you will wear more stickles then will end up on your project.  Also, too much is a disaster, because it will never dry.  As you can se from the pic below, if you use the right amount of stickles it does add the right amount of bling to any project...even dinasours.

Well, the recipe for this card is below and as usual TFL.

Vintage Pie

Greetings!

Here's a card that I did for Create w/TLC's Vintage digi stamp challenge.  When creating this card, I discovered that I need to practice more in order to create a vintage look.  I believe my problem is that I love bright colors and lots of them and this art form doesn't really lend itself to bright colors.  Instead when I think of vintage, I think of warm browns, greys and mellow yellows.  Here's my creation.  ~TFL

Apple of my pie?! Sweetie Pie!

Greetings!

While I am not a fan of applie pie, I must say when I first laid eyes on this digital stamp from Create w/TLC, it's all I could think about.  Therefore, this DP was my inspiration for this card.

C w/TLC is having a a card challenge using the free vintage image. I've made another card for that challenge, which I will post later.  Here's the two cards that I created using the apple dp.  The woman in the image could be baking a cherry pie, but apples stuck in my mind.

The other card that I created using this dp is a stair step card.  The image lent itself to this layout.

The apple on the last stair came from Create w/TLC.  It was template for making a hinged apple shaped card; however, I just used a part of it to create my apple. ~TFL

Pink Bedroom Challenge

Greetings!

This card was created for Pink Bedroom Challenge over at Crafty Sentiments Digital Stamps.

The challenge is to create a card using any image as you please, but they would love you to show them your creations using Flopsy or Sammy Snail (free digis on their site).  If you choose to use the free digis, then you'll be entered twice into the challenge for using Flopsy or Sammy!  Woo and hoo, Woohoo!

I decided to use Flopsy, since I had already done a card using Sammy.

I layered Flopsy head, because I wanted her ears to flop.  ~TFL

Just Chicken In

Greetings!

How appropriate to call this post "Just Chicken In," because not only is that the title of my card, but that is what I am doing. *gigl*  It's been 4 days since I last posted something.  Wow, what a crazy busy fast week.  I can't believe it is gone already.  I head back to work (aargh) next week.  I have to admit I've had a blast being off.  Now if only I can find a way to still make the money I make and not work.  I'll keep thinking about that one. *gigl*

My inspiration for a card comes from several different places.  This particular card was first inspired by the sentiment from Create w/TLC and then the colors.  I love how bright and cheery the different shades of orange are on this card.  When I post cards from now on, I will try to share with you what inspired me to create the card.  I believe this will help you realize that inspiration can come from anywhere and everywhere.  I would define this as creativity.

Okay, now here's the card and as usual the recipe can be found below the pic.  ~TFL

Pink Princess

Greetings!

While purple is my FAVORITE color, I do fancy pink (guess it's the girl in me). *gigl*  I created the card below for Mo's weekly Challenge and the Mojo challenge.

Mo's challenge this week required that we use fabric in our card.  Since I don't sew, I borrowed some material from my sister.  The fabric trim can be ribbon as well, so I hope that this qualifies.  I used one of Mo's "Terrible Twos" image, which I call the Pink Princess. *gigl*  I'm sure we all know at least one little person like this one. I may know two!!

The Mojo challenge is actually the following layout.

I rotated my layout, and changed the shapes of the image and sentiment, but I think I still covered the requirements.

Here's my card and the recipe is below it.  TFL

Happy 4th!!

I am so thankful to be in a country where I have opportunities.  Truly God has blessed America and for that I say THANK YOU!

I have been busy cranking out cards.  I have discovered a new digi artist name Kenny K. and I love his images.  I'm bummed that I missed out on being a part of his design team; however, hopefully there will be another chance.  Below are three cards I created using his fab images, colored with copics, the word art is from Elegant word art and various Spellbinder diecuts.  I have been inspired by the colors green and yellow so I have used that color on quite a few of my cards.  TFL.

Happy Birthday Hat

This card was inspired by the sentiment on the card.  I usually create the card then find the sentiment; however, Paulette over at Create w/TLC created this fab sentiment and immediately by brain started clicking (over 30 and your brain actually clicks instead of turns *gigl*).  Anyway, I used a variety of SU DP, some cool ribbon I had laying around and presto...this card was born.

I made another card using the "Happy Birthday" and "and many more" sentiment, as well.

I will more than likely use it as a show-and-tell card for my sister's 1st grade class.  I teach the little ankle biters how to make cards and this would be a cool b-day card to show them how to make.  Thanks Paulette for sharing and thanks to everyone for checking out my blog.

Hello Treasured Friend…

Greetings!
While good friends are hard to find, true friendship never dies. ~crg
This card was created using an image from Mo’s Digital Pencil.  I love this image because of the sweetness of the little girl and the cricket.  The color scheme actually came to me in a dream *gigl*.  I know…I eat, sleep and dream cards!  Anyways, I wanted a soft blue and cranberry accent color.  As usual, I colored using Copics.  I added some dewdrop gems to keep it clean and simple.
TFL!
