Phindy’s Place: Proud Papa card

I created this card for a challenge over at Phindy’s Place.  We had to create a baby card using pastel colors, buttons, and a 3-D belli.  The inspiration for this card came from my friends Dave & Autumn who recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl name April.

I used Copic Ciao markers to color the image and added Bo-Bunny buttons.  The 3-D sentiment was created by me.  They are called word-arounds and I will be selling them here on my blog, so make sure to check back here to see what’s new!

Dirty Dozen Card Class…

Hello ladies,
As promised (sorry for the technical difficulties last night) here are the cards we’ll make on Saturday, April 17, 2010.  I am waiting for some supplies from my SU dealer (Michelle J.) so I wasn’t able to show you all the bellies (embellishments) that will be on the cards.  I believe these pics will give you enough of an idea. In a nutshell, we are going to have FUN!!

Dirty Dozen card class

No, we will not be gambling; however, dealing cards will be a huge part of the class. In this class you will learn how to take one sheet of dp and make a dozen cards. We will make two Birthday, Thank You, Thinking of You, Get Well and Congratulations cards. The last two cards will be wild cards - for you to use for whatever occasion you choose. The cards will be 3 1/2 x 5 cards and youwill have envelopes as well. There will not be enough dp left over to decorate your envelopes. However, you will have stamps and embellishments to tie your card and envelope together. Kits will be available for $15, but you must request them prior to class by emailing me at

Lunch will be served and you will just need to bring a drink. You will need adhesive, scissors, and a paper cutter for the class. You may also bring your favorite stamps for your wild cards.

I was suppose to have the pictures of each individual card posted last night, but had technical difficulties at home. I will make sure to get them up today.

Well I hope that you can join us because we have a blast! If you have attended one of my classes in the past, share the love by posting a comment here.

Thank you for your support.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! I am so thankful to God for his Son and the sacrifices he has made for me and my love ones. I pray that you take a moment to reflect on what a true blessing it is to be called a child of God and remember that Easter is so much more than bunnies, eggs and pretty new dresses.

God bless,

Sue Nelson and I
