Wow, it is finally Friday! This is a bittersweet Friday for me. Today my term on the ADFD Design Team comes to an end. I am so grateful to Tammy for allowing me to play with her awesome images. Also, a big THANKS to Arielle for being our fearless leader! I will miss working with the talented ladies on the DT, but will forever be inspired by their creations and Tammy's work. THANK YOU all!!
Also, today is my momma's 70th birthday!! She doesn't look her age and I only hope that I inherit her beautiful, flawless skin (not a wrinkle) when I am her age. Today is going to be crazy for me as we prepare for her dinner celebration tomorrow night. Hopefully I will be able to come back and post her gift and card.
Okay, back to the business at hand. Here's my creation using the oober adorable "Beauty" mermaid from the Freebie Bundle collection. I made a shape card using an awesome svg (scalable vector graphics) file created by Bird. If you have never visited Bird's blog, you should. She has tons of freebies and her creations are so inspiring. She makes several svgs, which are cutting files that you can use with virtually any cutting machine. It is because of these files that I use my Cricut at all.
Well, here's my creation...
My sentiment comes from Paulette over at Create with TLC. It was so appropriate to accompany this image. If you haven't visited Paulette's blog, then what planet have to been hiding out on? She also has tons of awesome freebies and the creations that are created using her images are so inspiring. You will truly gain a wealth of knowlege stopping by her blog.
With the exception of the circle shapes, everything on the card was cut out using SVGs from Bird's blog. I colored this cutie up using Copic markers and then added some Glass Gel over the bubbles to make them pop. (lol)
You can pick these precious images up from the ADFD store (along with the entire set). While you are there color one of them up and enter your creation in our "Glitter" challenge for a chance to win a $12 store credit. You can also check us out on FB, CDAC, PCP, and the Crafter's Cafe.
