Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #31: Friendship

Greetings!

Happy Monday and Columbus Day!  Today is bitter sweet for me because this will be my last challenge over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge as part of the Design Team.  I  have enjoyed working with the awesome designers at TSC and look forward to seeing them in the blogosphere.  Today I dedicate this card to all the wonderful DTs at TSC (past and present).  This week's challenge theme is "Friendship."

We have 2 generous sponsors for this challenge and they are Digi Darla and Bugaboo. I actually decided to use the Digi Darla "Birds Hearts wreath" image for my creation.

Best Friends

I colored the image up a couple weeks before I put the card together.  I really didn't know what type of layout I was going to use.  My good e-buddy Kim Bell sent me some yummy diecuts to play with so I pulled them out, along with 6x6 paper, some Wild Orchid flowers and went to town. I really like how the card turned out.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #30: "Fall Colors"

Greetings!

Happy Monday.  I hope that your week will start great and end fantastic!  This week over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge we are celebrating Fall colors.  As I mentioned in a previous post, I love the colors of Fall.  I can do without the cold (brrrr), but I LOVE the colors.

Our generous sponsors for this challenge are Eureka Stamps and A Day for Daisies. I chose to work with A Day for Daisies "Leaf Girl."  I created two projects this week.  The first creation is a digital layout page and the other a card.

Autumn Splendor Layout



Fall Leaf Girl

I created my digital page layout using PSE.  I used various elements  (digital papers, embellishments, etc.) from Design House Digital.  I plan on using this layout as the cover for a digital book.  However, I could have also turned it into a card, scrapbook page or a number of other things.

My other card was created using Bazzill cardstock.  I then layered on SU dark brown cardstock and designer paper.  The months tabs were from some old calendars that I had in my stash.  I then layered the image after coloring it with Copic markers.  I finished off my card with a button and some leaves also from my stash of goodies.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #29: Create a Kid's Card

Happy Monday!  I hope that your week will start great and end fantastic! This week over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge we are desiging "Kid's Cards."

Our generous sponsors for this challenge are Bugaboo Stamps and QKR Stampede. I chose to work with QKR's "News Boy." I created this birthday card using the tutorial I shared with you last week.

As previously mentioned, I used my "Oober Easy Easel" card tutorial to make this card.  I covered the card with dp from various 6 x 6 paper pads (these cards are perfect for these pads).  I also layered some black cardstock as well.  I used my Spellbinder's die to create a newspaper.  I used Copics to color my image and added sentiments from Create with TLC.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #28 "Anything Goes"

Greetings!

This will be a kind of long post; therefore, I will get right to business.  This week over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge it's an "Anything Goes" challenge.  So, no excuses for not joining in the fun this week.

Our generous sponsors for this challenge are Digi Darla Designs and Stitchy Bear Designs.  I chose to create two cards this week.  The first card I created I used Robert Jackson's Digital Expression "Granny's Quilt" and Digi Darlas "Flowergirl."  I am also throwing in another treat for you.  I created a tutorial for my Digi Darla card.  I hope that you find it easy to follow and fun to make.  :-)

Create w/TLC wordart

I created my first card using a 6x6 Scalloped square cardbase.  I layered on SU cardstock and then stitched it on the sewing machine.  I added square dp tiles made using the SU scalloped punch.  I cut out a circle using Spellbinder's loop circle diecut.  I colored my image using Copic markers and finished it off with buttons.  This card is a bit sentimental to me, because my grandmother (who was my original BFF) made quilts.  I use to love helping her cut out the square pieces.  She was awesome and I miss her a lot.

My other card was created using the tutorial and I was playing around discovered this would work. lol  I always create by accident (hence the quote at the bottom of my blog post).  I used SU cardstock and papers to create this easle card.  I added some Wild Orchid flowers and a perfect sentiment from Paulette over at Create with TLC to finish it up.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #27: Fall Inspiration

Greetings!

Brrrr...I can't believe it, but it is already starting to get cool here in Michigan.  The leaves are turning colors and are starting to fall to the ground.    Over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge, we are asking you to show us your creations inspired by Fall.  I *heart* Fall colors so much!!  I don't like the cold, but the colors are dreamy.

This week's generous sponsor is QKR Stampede. I chose to use QKR "Scarecrow and Leaves" image for my creation.

I created my card base by cutting out leaves using SU cardstock on my Cricut.  I scored the leaves to create veins.  My image was cut out using Spellbinder's Square diecut and matted on another piece of cardstock.  I colored my image with Copics and Copic Spica pens.  I added a vine using Cheery Lynn Flourish diecut and finished it off with some leaves and button from my stash.  I had a blast coloring this little guy.  The picture of the turning trees was taken by my friend Meghann.  I this is such a cool picture and it was my "Fall inspiration" for my card.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner "Things with Wings" Challenge #26

Greetings!

Happy Labor Day!  My wish for you is that you soak up every bit of summer that you possibly can.  How slow it is to come and how fast it is to go!  Today I bring to you another challenge hosted by  Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge and the theme is to show us your images with wings. 

This week's generous sponsors are Eureka Stamps and Sassy Studios. I chose to use Eureka Stamps "Angel" image for my creation.

Here's my creation...


I created my card base by cutting out a diecut on using SU cardstock on my Cricut.  I then cut out two more layers using white cardstock and SU dp.  I also cut the circle design using a diecut image from Bird.  I layered with flowers from Wild Orchid and some gems from my stash. I finished it of my writing the sentiment and mounting it on a ribbon tag from Spellbinders.

I colored my image using B02, B000 and B0000 Copics as well as E07, E01, E09 and W01, W00.  I added Stickles to her waist band and the flowers to finish it off.

I colored this image using Photoshop.  I used Leelou digital paper and elements to create this page.  The sentiment was found online.  I used 6 different different papers to create lots of layers for this layout.  I love creating this little scenes, because they make awesome scrapbook pages, card covers or you can frame them and use for wall art.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge #24 "Anything Goes"

I would like to first of all thank everyone for their well wishes. This week over at  Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge it is Anything Goes! 

I decided to use an image from Sassy Studio Designs.  I just love these sassy images.

Here's my creation...


I used SU yellow cardstock as the base for my card and layered blue cardstock on top and finished it off with a piece of dp from my stash.  I used my corner rounder to round out the bottom of the card.  I colored the beauty using my Copics and punched the sentiment (from Paulette at Create with TLC) out using my SU punch.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #23 "Add some flowers"

I would like to first of all thank everyone for their well wishes.  I am still recovering and getting stronger everyday.  I a bit late (pardon me), but today I am sharing with you my card for this week's Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge.

The challenge this week is a Add some Flowers challenge and our sponsor is A Day for Daisy again.  I decided to use an image that isn't

Here's my creation...


ADFD Twisted Layered Flower


I used SU red cardstock as the base for my tag.  I cut the intricate design out on my Cricuit using the Make the Cut software. I added dp from Clippings 6x6 paperpack. The embellishments were Fancy flourishes from Cheery Lynn as well as ribbon from Michaels. I just realized that I didn't use any Copics on this tag. lol

The Twisted Layered Flower from ADFD comes on a sheet of 6 or 8.  I just digitally paper-pieced some scripted paper behind them and cut them out.  I outlined the top flower using a gel pen and added a bling brad in the center.  I popped the flower up using pop dots.

Tammy Challenge# 21: ADFD Bingo

Greetings!

I know it has been a little while since my last post, but I'm recovering from surgery.  I just popped in quickly to post my card for this week's Tammy's Scrapin Corner challenge. I have a funny story to tell before I get into the challenge deets.  I am sequestered to my mom's house until I get the clearance from the doctor to go home.  I am supposed to be relaxing and healing, which I am sorta.  Today I was restless and it is a gorgeous 98 degrees here, so I wanted to go outside.  I really needed to go to my house and get some things (my laptop).  My sister and I waited for my mom to take a nap and we snuck out to go to my house.    Well, that was my adventure for today. lol

The challenge this week is a BINGO challenge and our sponsor is A Day for Daisy.  As a ADFD alumni, I was truly excited about working with these gorgeous images again.  I chose to use "Poppy in my hair" and the bingo squares that I am using are "flower, ribbon and free space."

I started this card out with a 6 x6 cardstock base using cardstock and dp from CTMH.  I had this paper and cardstock stashed away and when I was cleaning I discovered it.  I was so happy and decided to use it for this lovely image.  I layered on tons of paper and cardstock and even added in some chocolate cardstock because I thought this color would compliment the other colors well.  I layered the cardstock randomly for a different look and matted the image on the chocolate cardstock.  I colored the image using Copics markers.  I added flowers from Wild Orchids and finished the card off with ribbon from Michaels and a sentiment that I created.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #18 - "Anything Goes"

Happy Monday! It's that time of the week for another challenge over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner. This week's theme is Anything Goes and our sponsors this week is Digi Darla and Sassy Studios. I chose to design two cards this week.  I used the "Boy with flowers" from Digi Darla and "Aero Boy" from Melania Deasy.  I didn't realize that I was creating two "boy" cards until I sat down to color. lol  I know making "male" cards initimidate some people, but it just comes easy for me.  I love all the frilly girly things you can do with a "female" card, but I also enjoy the challenge of making a simple "boy" card and getting the same "wow" factor.

I started out with a diecut shaped card cut out from my Cricut.  I layered on blue Bazzill cardstock and matted my image on top.  I colored my image using Copics and added a border using my Copic multi-liner pen.  I also added a sentiment from Paulette over at Create with TLC and finished it off with a plant charm from my stash.

Aero Boy
I started out with 5 x 5 cardstock from SU and begin to layer on dps.  I used my Spellbinder's circle to cut out a black mat and dp.  I colored everything using my Copics R35, R37, E13, E21,W5, W3, W1, W00, C1, C3, Y08, Y000, Y11, BG10, BG11, and B00.  I used Black Copic marker to make a trim around the image.  I added some glaze to his goggles.  I cut out the clouds and popped them and the image using 3D pop dots.  The sentiment I created on my computer.
