Comb it over...

Greetings!

I hope you are having a productive Monday!  We are going on week two of gorgeous weather here in Michigan.  Unfortunately, I am stuck in an office and unable to play. :-(  Oh well, I am thankful for my job because as I tell my co-workers...it supports my habit  hobby. *gigl*

Today, I am sharing with you a quick card I put together.  The Alley Way gave away this cute little comb and sentiment set.  I immediately knew what I wanted to do with the comb and combined it with a different sentiment, only because I made the card with someone in mind.

As previously stated, I used the freebie that TAW gave away and then created the lines on the computer.  I colored the combs and lines with Copics and added some glass glaze to make them glisten.  I used a SU tag punch to punch out my sentiment and SU cardstock to layer and create my card.

The Alley Way ~ Fun-gi

Greetings!

Today I am sharing with you a fun stamp set from a new company called The Alley Way (TAW).  The owner of the company Allison, also started the Free Digital Stamp site.  TAW is having its first challenge which is a color challenge inspired by a picture.  Since  I am a literal person, I was challenged to combine all the colors together one image, and I had fun doing so. :-)

Here's the inspiration picture and my creation...

I started out with the intention of making this a "masculine" card (I have a lot of male birthdays this month).  However, I think the pink might not work for my brothers. lol  Anyways, I wanted to make sure that I picked up all (or most) of the colors, but keep it simple.

These cards below where a couple I made because I enjoyed playing with this image.  The first card was the result of my first attempt of making a challenge card.  I liked that I combined two images (Fungi and Lady bug) and two sentiments ("Fun-gi" and "Sweet") to create the adorable little scene.

The last card was just me channeling my Purple Card Lady vibe. lol
