"a day for daisies" Let's celebrate Challenge

I have so much to blog about, but first and foremost I wanted to remind you of the challenge that is going on over at "a day for daisies" challenge blog.  Use one of Tammy's gorgeous images to create a card with a celebration theme.  I chose "tummy," because I wanted to celebrate mtoherhood.  I finally got to see my friends' baby girl this weekend and it stirred up some dormant maternal feelings in me.  She is so precious and beautiful.  Therefore, I decided to celebrate motherhood as my challenge card.  I apologize for the quality of the pic.  I think my camera is exhausted, because I went to a Third Day concert last night and took a bunch of pics (maybe will share later).  Anyways, check out my card and I hope that you will join us over at "a day for daisies" CDAC group and on the challenge blog. I am sooo excited!!  I wanted to share some AWESOME news with you!  I was recently asked to be a DT member for another digi stamp store that I absolutely love..."a day for daisies".  I am truly honored to be a part of this design team as well.

Over at "a day for daisies"  they have Flower basket challenges which are held the 1^stand third Friday of each month so you want to make sure you join in over there as well.  The challenge that started today is "let's celebrate."  So make sure you join in on all the fun!

"Thank you" Tote

Greetings!

Yesterday, I showed you a card that was "out-the-box" for me and now I am going to show you a tote that is also "out-the-box."  I decided to make little "thank you" totes and fill them with candies.  I won't say who they are for in case they are reading this post.  I basically make only cards; although, I have several templates for boxes, totes, houses, etc.  I decided to make this lil' box and I didn't use a template, which is totally "out-the-box."  It is a 9x9" sheet of double-sided dp.  If anyone is interested in a toot for this, I can put one together these totes are super easy to make.  Just let me know.  I also added a beaded handle which was another challenge for me, but you've probably realized by now that I love challenges.  Well, here's my lil' creation TFL!

Inktegrity Hump Day Inspiration #14

"Hi there" from way up high!!
I have a terrible fear of heights, but I love to fly.  I know that sounds silly, but that's me at times. :-)  I want to share with you a card I created for this week's challenge on the Inktegrity Challenge Blog, "Anything Goes"! I love the "Anything Goes" challenges because then I am able to challenge myself.  I used my paper piecing skills on this creation and combined that with background digi paper from MS Word and of course the wonderful digi images from Inktegrity!  Walaah...here's my creation!

First Flight...

Today I want to share with you one of two projects that are "out-the-box" for me for totally different reasons.  The first I'll show today and the other tomorrow.  For those of you that know me, know that I don't celebrate Halloween.  However, from the moment I saw this image I felt compelled to create this card.  I actually saw the colors and how I wanted the images to appear.  I created this card as a way to challenge myself.  I wanted to take an image and merge it into a pre-existing environment.  I think I need to show you the card so that you can see what I mean.

If you look closely, there is a scene behind the witches.  There's the full glowing moon, trees, plants, rocks, etc.  I downloaded this image from an online gallery and played around with it until it looked dark and eerie.  I then placed the witches on the rocks in front of the moon and colored them.  I wanted to incorporate as many "Halloween" colors as possible.  I believe these lil' witches are both anxious and nervous about taking their "first flight."  I am sure that they will do fine. :-)  TFL!

I hope that you're creative juices are flowing.  I know mine have been somewhat.  I wanted to share with you a creation I made for a challenge over at TLC Creations.  Paulette has supplied us with a cute image of a bunny praying and we are to create a card.  The challenge ends today, so you need to "hop" over there if you want to get in on it.  Anyways, here's my creation.  I wrote the little sentiment to go along with it because the original that I heard growing up scared me.  lol  As always...TFL!

I have to mention that I paper pieced certain elements of this card.  You may be able to figure out which parts because I rushed to finish it so that I could enter it today. *gigl*

Flutterby Butterflies

Greetings!

It seems like I haven't posted anything in a while.  My apologies.  The card that I am showing you today is made up of three of my favorite things...butterflies, angels and purple!  I love this cutie little angel playing with butterflies.  I actually imagine her in a field and the butterflies are dancing all around her. 

I love how one of the butterflies looks like it is helping her fly. *gigl*  The color scheme and layout for this card just happened.  Don't you love when it just happens?  I have tons of books and papers for card layouts and color schemes, but 99% of the time it is the image that decides for me how the card is going to look.  Do you ever experience that or am I nuts? (Don't answer the "nuts" part) lol  Oh well, as always TFL!
