As promised, today is the "Vintage Challenge-New Release-First Ever ADFD Blog Hop" and welcome to my tiny slice of the blogosphere! If you have never visited my blog, then welcome and feel free to follow me (I promise to lead you to lots of fun places).
Well, I should get started since you have a lot of hopping to do and a lot of wonderful creations to view. This is the first stop on the hop so welcome! The hop will begin today and end February 24, 2011. Below you will find the links to the other talented members of the ADFD Design Team. Prepare yourself to be "wowed" by their talent and make sure to leave lots of love. :-D
ADFD (all done!)
Here's my creation using the vintage dress from the Very Vintage new release images.
I paper pieced the dress and used warm and dark browns to give it a vintage or antique look. Here's a tip that I will share with you. The designer paper (with the corsets, shoes, purses on it) is actually an advertisement from online that I used as dp. Sometimes, I can't find that perfect dp in the store (or my stash) so I get creative and look in the not so obvious places. I love how this card turned out and I hope you do too. Thanks for visiting me and now you'll hop over to the lady with nine lives...CAT! She has a gorgeous piece of art to share with you.
Recipe:
Image: ADFD
Sentiment: "You are vintage elegance" (by me)
Ink: Copics
DP: Online, SU, DCVW Paperpack
Diecuts: Spellbinders Scallop Round and Label 14
Accessories: Pearl glue dots
Now get to hopping...
Remember: There are no mistakes in card making, only opportunties for creativity!
