ADFD: Club Kit Challenge

Happy Tuesday!  Today I want to share with you a card that is out of the norm for me.  I wanted to enter ADFD's Club Kit challenge and the rules was to create a card with neutral colors and one other color.  The Club Kit is this awesome tribute to silent black and white films.  I love it!!

I chose an ADFD image from my stash and colored her up.  I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and quickly this card came together.

Here's my creation...

One of a Kind

I started out with a Kraft card based.  I layered on a sheet of dp from Glitz "Pretty in Pink" 6x6 paperpack.  I then matted my image to blue cardstock.  I colored my image using Copics.  I thought it would be fun to use two different neutral colors on her hair.  I then added my "other color" blue to her eyes using a Copic Spica pen.  However, that wasn't enough for me so I added just a drop of glaze to her eyes which made them literally pop.  I don't think you can see on the picture, but her eyes enlarged when I put the gel on them.  I finished the card with a brown/white striped ribbon/bow.  I also added a sentiment.

Thanks for looking and commenting.

Now get to creating...

Remember:  There are no mistakes in cardmaking, only opportunities for creativity!

  1. Love the pops of blue! Her hair reminds me of a girl on The Voice this year...

  2. Candy I love this. The way you have colored her and the colors in the card kinda reminds me of the old time Hollywood Starlets. I love the ribbon....Wonderful job...joann sassy raggedy

  3. Your coloring is amazing here, and the card came together beautifully. Wonderful!

Thank you so much for your sugar sweet comments! :-)
