Create with TLC: "A Walk Through Nature" Blog Hop!

Greetings!

Thanks for taking a break from Super Bowl Sunday and joining us for the Create with TLC "A Walk Through Nature" Blog Hop! We are so happy to have you here as we stroll through all God's great creations and along the way you will see plenty of inspiration and freebies. Here are my creations...

Nature Tote

Nature Tag

I designed this tag using my Cameo. I started out with yellow cardstock and designed a butterfly tag. I used print and cut and layered on the white cardstock. Lastly I used print and cut to cut out my flowers and matted to a yellow background. I colored my image using Copics. I finished it off by stapling ribbon on the top.

Butterfly Card

This card was created by sarting out with a yellow cardbased. I layered on orange cardstock, which I punched the bottom using Martha Stewart Lace punch. I created a tile background using the freebie image matted on green cardstock. I colored the image using Copic markers. I finished the card with a sentiment from Create with TLC "Be a Butterfly set."

Nature Plaque

My last project, which is a new medium I have learned, is putting images on ceramic tiles. I purchased 41/4x41/4 ceramic tiles from my local home improvement store and using Modge Podge I adhered the images on to the tiles. I then went over the image again with another coat of Modge Podge and finished it off with an acrylic sealer that can be purchased from either Michaels or Joanns. Using a sentiment from Create with TLC, I cut out the wordart on vinyl using my Cameo and adhered it to the tile. I did not spray it with the acrylic sealant, because I found it causes the edges of the vinyl to curl. The handle/hanger was made using wire and pearl beads. I love how it turned out and it will probably hang on my front door or in the mudroom.

As you can see, I got a bit carried away with this beautiful cosmo flower freebie and ended up created 4 projects. I wanted to show how versatile this delicate little flower could be any project that you could imagine.

Create with TLC: Good-bye Little Tooth

Greetings!

I hope that your week is winding down well. We are preparing for another snow storm that is suppose to arrive Saturday. I have to say that this snow has been gorgeous to look at, but a bear to get around in.

Today, I will be sharing a card with you using another image from Mo Manning and a sentiment that was created especially for this image by Paulette at Create with TLC. She is so good at accomodating me with my somewhat strange request.

Here's my creation...

Good-bye Little Tooth

This little lady made me chuckle, because I remember when I lost my first tooth. It was the day before picture day, so I took a picture wearing Winnie the Pooh overalls and turtleneck with a missing tooth front and center. My hair was even in puffy pigtails like her. Wow! I decided because I was surrounding by snow to use some soft springy blues, greens and yellows for my card. I started with a baby blue 6x6 cardstock base, layered on dp, yellow cardstock and some more dp. I used Spellbinder's Wonky rectangle diecut to cut out my image and the blue mat. I cut the tag and sentiment out using my Cameo. I colored my image using Copics and finished it off with Stickles and ribbon. The inside of the card, which I always forget to snap a pic of, states "hello lots of cash."

Create with TLC: NEW set "Look Cute" - Inspiration #2

Greetings!

I am hoping that with all the cold weather that our Spring and Summer are nice. I decided not to complain about the cold (too much), because my grandmother (God rest her soul) always would say, "the cold kills the diseases." Wow, there are a lot of dead diseases this Winter. I am popping in to share with you 1 of 2 creations that I made using a new set from Create with TLC called "Look Cute." It is hard to look cute in 5 below weather, but I manage some how. lol

Just Shop

Okay, here's another card that is ink-free. I used a 6x6 black cardstock base and layered on white cardstock and chevron red dp. I chose to use a silhouette of a girl shopping as my image for this card. I thought it would be different and when I merged pattern paper onto the silhouette, it was different. I knew I could do this with my Cameo, but had never tried it. I loved how it turned out. I used a simple flourish diecut and then popped my sentiment from the new Look Cute set. I really can relate to this sentiment! teehee

Create with TLC: NEW set - Look Cute

Greetings!

I hope that you are warm and safe as we kick off another week. I can't believe how fast January is winding down. I am popping in to share with you 1 of 2 creations that I made using a new set from Create with TLC called "Look Cute." It is hard to look cute in 5 below weather, but I manage some how. lol

Here's my creation...

Often Imitated

I kept this card pretty simple. I used a black and white theme, because those are such classic and forgiving colors. I was watching My Fair Lady when I created this card, so that had a huge influence on it I'm sure. I used a 5 1/2 x 51/2 white cardstock base, layered on half a sheet of dp and a strip of black cardstock that I punched using MS lace punch. I cut the image and sentiment out using my Cameo. I didn't add one ounce of ink to this card. I was going to color her chair, but then changed my mind. I love that saying, "often imitated, but never duplicated." Yep, God made me and said, "one is definitely enough. " lol

"It's a Jungle" Create with TLC Blog Hop!!!

Greetings!

I pray your Sunday is blessed. Today is Create with TLC's "It's a Jungle" blog hop. I am sure several of us have felt like we were in the jungle with the heat and humidity. Well, the DTs and special guest designers are going to take you on a voyage through the great outdoors. I am kicking things off with a beautiful vintage FREEBIE image entitled, "Vintage Wood Cut Bird."

I admit that it took me a bit to realize what I wanted to do with this image. I loved the challenge and versatility of it and finally settled my brain on doing a type of mosaic tile creation.

Here's my creation...

I started with a very simple 6x6 black cardstock base and layered on some colorful dp. I then matted my image to a black and then green cardstock. I ran this image through my Cameo and created boxes to cut out the tiles. I colored the image using Copics and covered it with some 3D Crystal Lacquer. I love how vibrant the lacquer made the colors in the image. I good easily see this scene in the rainforest or some tropic jungle. Anyways, I also cut out some vines and a flower medallion using my Cameo and finished the card off with some bluish-green gems. I would love to see what you create using this beauty.

Here's another creation I made using the wordart freebie that Paulette is giving away today. I added the birds (to keep with my bird theme) and plan on using this as wall art in my craftroom. I colored it using Photoshop and added some dimension to it. I am showcasing it on a totebag, but you can use it in a variety of ways.

Happy 4th...(5th and 6th)!

Mayzy May Blog Hop

Greetings!

If you landed here from the super talented Jo's blog, then your ship is on the right course. My name is Candy! Ahoy Matey and welcome aboard! I am honored and humbled to be a part of this awesome blog hop. I love MayzyArt images so this is truly a blast for me.

Today I will be sharing with you a card I made using the adorable "Lorelei" image. The look on her face makes me think that she is missing someone who set sail and she can't wait for them to return.

Here's my creation using this image...

SECRET WORD IS:

I designed a shaped card using my Cameo and cut it out on dark blue cardstock from SU. I layered on some dp from a 6x6 paperpack. My image was colored using Copic markers Y02, Y06, Y08, B12, B14, B16 (for her clothes and boat) and E11, E13, E21 (for skin), E29, E27, E25, E40 and E41 (for hair and shoes). I matted her on yellow cardstock to make the image really stand out. I finished my card off with some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and pearls from my stash. The sentiment, which I think goes perfect with this image is from Create with TLC.

YAY! Welcome to TLC's Vintage Fashion Show Blog Hop

I hope you have been inspired by all the lovely creations that the Design Team has produced. As I take the catwalk, I am presenting the vintage freebie image "Vintage Sunday School."

Here's my creation...

I cut the shape card out using my Cameo as well as the SU dp and vines. I also used a Spellbinder's die Oval die to cut out and mat my image. I colored my image using Copic markers. The rod iron fence is a diecut from Heartfelt Creations. I finished my card off with flowers from Wild Orchid.

Sunday School Vintage - right click to save

Here's another creation using an exclusive wordart freebie that you can only get from the Create with TLC blog.

Vogue Birthday wordart

I started off cutting a 5 x 7 cardbase using SU purple cardstock. I then layered on some red cardstock and dp paper from a 6x6 pad. I used my corner punch to round off the edges. I then used a Spellbinder's Circle die to cut circles in the dp as well as to cut out my wordart. The image I used is from Mo Manning. I colored her using Copic makers and Spica pens. I cut her out using my Cameo. I added the flourishes from a diecut. I finished my card off by adding Stickles to her dress. She is definitely ready for the catwalk!
