I can't believe that it has been almost a month since my last post.  Sorry, but I've been extremely busy with work.  I hope to get back to creating real soon.  I also can't believe that it is Thanksgiving.  Where did 2012 go? 

I wanted to pop in and wish all my U.S. friends a safe, blessed and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  May you be surrounded by those you love.  We truly have so much to be thankful for and this is a good time to reflect on those things and count our blessings.

Serendipity Stamps: Birdhouse Cling Set

My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone that is affected by the storm.  May God protect you and yours and keep you safe.  I am popping in to share a card with you that was the result of me winning a contest over at Serendipity Stamps.  I won a cool Scor Board and picked up this beautiful stamp set too.  I am really in to birdhouses for some reason.  This is a new obession so who knows what it will be months from now. :-)  Anyway, this set is called "Birdhouse Cling Set" and I must say that this is a really good quality stamp.  I love how every detail of the image came out perfectly.

Birdhouse Christmas

I started out with a 6x6 cardbase made using SU red cardstock.  I layered on various dp from MME 6x6 paperpack.  I matted my image on a scalloped circle Spellbinder's die.  The image was colored using Copics and I added "snow" to the leaves and around the birdhouse.  I also added Stickles and white gel pen on the edges.  I finished my card with a holly die from Marianne's as well as some crystal beads from Wild Orchid Crafts.

GDT for Eureka Stamps: Fruit of the Spirits

Greetings!

Today I am a Guest Designer over at Eureka Stamps and the challenge this week is "Buttons and Bows."  I decided to use one of their verses to create an inspirational card.  I love to give my digital stamps a break every now and then and work with sentiments.  I try to keep a nice stash of inspirational cards because you never know when you will need one.

I want to send a big THANK YOU to Joann Burton and the Eureka crew for allowing me to design with these awesome products. 

Here's my card...

Fruit of the Spirit

I created a 6x6 cardbase using SU cardstocks and designer paper.  I then used a Martha Stewart punch to cut out a band to put across the card.  I cut my sentiments and mat out using Spellbinder's Wonky Rectangle dies.  I stitched all around the card and embellished with ribbons and buttons.  Lastly, I used my Copics (YG11 and B00) to highlight the words.

Whimsy Stamp Inspiration

Greetings!

Today I want to share with you a card I made for Whimsy Stamps review day and I don't think I ever shared it here.  It may very well be the first Christmas card that I have created this year.

Lia_ Presents

I started out with 6x6 Kraft cardstock and layered on some two-sided dp.  I used my ink pad to color the edges of the cardstock.  I layered on some squiggly curls around the edge of the cardstock and popped up the words "Merry Christmas" that I cut on my Cricut.  I colored my presents image using Copics and the diecut tree is from Marianne Dies (thanks Kim).  I used Stickles to decorate the tree as well as Copic Spica pens.

ADFD: Lady Hat Bow

Greetings!

I hope your Thursday is going great!  I have a card I would like to share with you using ADFD's "Lady Hat Bow."  I believe I mentioned before how much I love hats; however, I don't wear them because my head is too big. lol  I will be entering this card in the ADFD's "Pop It" challenge.  I used 3D dots to pop my flowers as well as pop the dps behind my image to make room for the tag to slide in and out.

Hattitude
 

I started my card out with a 6x6 Kraft card base and layered on some pink cardstock.  I then added a layer of dp.  I used 3D pop dots to lift my 4x6 strip of cardstock with dp off the card a little to add my tag.  I used my Spellbinder's die to cut out a circle.  I also used the fancy frame diecut from Spellbinder's to mat my image.  I cut the tag out using my Sizzix tag diecut (haven't pulled that out in a while).  I colored this beauty using Copic markers R81, R83, E41, E42, E40 for hat and clothes; E25, E27 and E29 for her hair.   I finished my creation by popping some flowers and leaves in the corner as wel as added gems around the frame of the image.

ADFD: A special flower (For You)

Happy Tuesday!  I am popping in to share with you a card I made using ADFD's "A Special Flower." 

Here's my creation...

For You

I started out with a 6x6 cardbase using purple cardstock.  I layered on a sheet of purple polka dot 6x6 dp (trimmed) and a strip of flower dp.  I corned the opposite ends of my card and dp using my CTMH corner rounder.  I then used Spellbinder's die to cut a purple mat and to cut my image.  I colored my image using V93, V95, V99 (dress); E21, E25, E27 and YG11 Copics.  I colored the flowers with a white gel pen and gel pen for the center.  I added my crocheted flower with a pearl in the middle embellishment to finish off my card.

Fall Wheelbarrow

Happy Monday!  Wishing you a speedy yet productive week!

I have done several Fall cards and I can't seem to get enough of them.  This particular card was created using Karen's Doodles "Fall Wheelbarrow."  I really enjoyed coloring this image (especially the corn).

I really enjoyed creating this card.  I didn't have any plans for the layout, but really wanted to focus on coloring the image.  I started out with a 6x6 Kraft paper card based and added SU Orange and green cardstock.  I used Copics YR12, YR16, YR02 (pumpkins), G82, G40 (leaves), E40, E41, E43, E50, E51, E53 (barrow and ground), YR23(corn husk), and I finished the corn with gel pens.  I added Cheery Lynne flourish and some beads for embellishments.  I finished the card by using a white gel pen to add faux stichting around my card.
