7 Kids Challenge: Orange and Black

Greetings!

Happy Saturday!  I hope that you have a productive day.  I am sharing with you today a card I made for 7 Kids College Fund Challenge and their theme is orange and black.  I decided to join this challenge this week for two reasons 1).  My e-buddy Kim (who designs for 7 Kids) told me to and 2). these are my High School colors!  lol

I knew the rules were to use an image that 7 Kids carries and while I had purchased goodies from 7 Kids, I wasn't sure if I had a stamp.  Lo and behold, Kim sent me a Magnolia Tilda & Wiola stamp a while ago that I loved (and 7 Kids carries) so I used it to make my card.  So to say "thank you" again   I call this creation "NY State of Mind," (Kim's from New York).

Here's my creation...

NY State of Mind

I started out with a 6x6 scalloped cardbase, layered on orange cardstock and then dp.  I cut out a NY skyline on my Cricut and traced the edges using a white gel pen to make it stand out.  I should have cut out a shadow layer, but didn't think of that until the Cricut was unplugged and turn off.  Hate when that happens!  Anyways, I layered on a piece of orange ribbon and then added my image.  I colored her up using Copics and Spica pens for some glitter.  I love the way it all turned out.  I added in the first picture a bracelet that is from Baubles by Bri.  Bri has some gorgeous bracelets in her Etsy store.  You should check them out.  (Also, Bri has a famous mom...Paulette who owns Create with TLC and is always so generous with her goodies.)  Make sure you stop bye and visit them both!  You will not be sorry. :-)

Okay, this is my first 7 Kids Challenge and I hope that I did it and Kim justice.  I loved playing with  rubberstamps again.  It's been a while...

Thanks for looking and commenting!
