Mo's DP2 Challenge..."My Sentiments Exactly"

Greetings!

I am back again to post a card I created for Mo's DP2 challenge.  This week you must use a sentiment and so I decided to whip one up. :-)  I chose to work with Mo's gorgeous Nativity scene (AA) and got carried away with the browns.  I also used this week's Monday Mojo layout to design my card, which worked out perfectly!

I used paper from MME 6x6 pack (will look up exact name), which I got for an awesome price from Little Darlings Rubber Stamp Store.  I was surprised to find out that this FAB store is not far from me.  Feeling a road trip coming on! lol

I love the beauty of this little scene.  Mo is so good at capturing facial expressions in her images and she didn't let me down with this image.  The angel is in awe of the little guy he is keeping watch over.  I kept with very settle Copic colors, because I didn't want to take away from the image.  I used a chocolate satin bow to tie everything off and as stated before added my own sentiment that reads, "Away in a manger...sweet baby Jesus once laid."  This would make an excellent Christmas or Easter card.

This is the second post for today.  I wanted to share with you a card I created using images and sentiments from Paulette over at Create with TLC.  I am entering this card in Monday MOJO contest based off the sketch below.  I try to use sketches in my desings, but sometimes I just fly by the seat of my pants. lol  I really liked this sketch and the idea for this card popped in my head immediately.

 I used Marco cardstock and designer paper from SU.  As previously stated, the Bingo card and calendar came from Create with TLC, as did the sentiment "I play to win" and "XO."  I added some red and black lace and tied it off with a pink ribbon and bow.  The heart is a Spellbinder's heart diecut.  I used a Copic (RV000) to highlight the 14th on the calendar.

Mojo 155 Contest: Balloon Lift

Greetings!

It has been so windy here in Michigan that I feel like I was in a balloon.  However, I am terrified of heights so I don't see myself ever taking a balloon ride, but I love to see them.  Over at Mojo Monday, they have a contest using the layout below.  I decided to use this balloon digi to create my card.  TFL!

My apologies, I will have to come back later and post the recipe, because I don't have the information on the artist who created the digi image.  I like to give everyone credit for thier work.

DP:  Okay, Every stitch of paper used to create this card is from Microsoft Word.  Yes, I used Word as my designer paper.  I will post a quasi-toot to show you how to use MS for your DP as well.  Keep following.

Mojo Monday 154: Shirley2 Girls "Back 2 School"

Greetings!

The little ankle biters (children) will be headed back to school soon.  In Michigan we can tell when that time has come, because the weather becomes colder.  The card that I have created this week for Mojo Monday is also a challenge card for Shirley2Girls "Back2School" challenge.  They gave away full sheet of digis (link below) and all you had to do was to use at least one of the images in a card or page layout.  I created a round card using a few of the images.  TFL!

Mojo Challenge 153

Greetings!

Being named Candy makes me naturally drawn to all things sweet.  There are not very many sweets that I do not drool over.  However, I have to admit that I am not fond of cake.  I would rather have a slice of frosting versus a slice of cake, unless my sister is the baker of said cake. *gigl*  Her cakes are awesome.

Well, I guess I was craving a little bit of cake when I created my entry for the Mojo Challenge this week, because it is all about a cup of cake.

I love the colors of this card.  They are fun and truly there is a cupcake for everyone on this card.  TFL!
