Mojo 155 Contest: Balloon Lift

Greetings!

It has been so windy here in Michigan that I feel like I was in a balloon.  However, I am terrified of heights so I don't see myself ever taking a balloon ride, but I love to see them.  Over at Mojo Monday, they have a contest using the layout below.  I decided to use this balloon digi to create my card.  TFL!

My apologies, I will have to come back later and post the recipe, because I don't have the information on the artist who created the digi image.  I like to give everyone credit for thier work.

Mo's Challenge: Antique and Vintage

Over at Mo's DP2 Challenge, the theme this week is to use browns to give an antique or vintage look.  The antique style isn't my stronger suit.  I can't seem to master it, but I don't let that stop me from trying.  That is how we learn afterall, right?  Well, here's my attempt at antique and vintage.  I decided to use Mo's Wiz of Oz collection.  I created a "tent card" which reminds me of a shadow box.  I like how it turned out, but will re-do this card and make some changes.  TFL!

Kenny K Challenge: Music

Greetings!

I love music!  I have these moments when I will just break out in song.  I am one of those people you see driving down the road singing my heart out.  I owe my love for music to my mother, because she is a singer and she play music while we slept.  If you checked out my music selection you would find everything from Mercy Me to Train.  I love Train's "Hey, Soul Sistah,"  I am always singing that song and it is the inspiration behind this card that I've created for Kenny K's challenge.  TFL!

She looks like she is jamming to some funky tune.  I think the entire "Rock Squad" series that Kenny has is fab.

MY 100TH POST: Chocolate Apples

Greetings!

Fall conjures up for me all kinds of thoughts, feelings, and cravings.  One of those cravings is caramel or chocolate covered apples.  My sister makes these tripled dipped apples.  Oh they are sooo good.  Over at the Treehouse Stamps blog, they are giving an apple freebie away and you have to create a project in order to continue to get the freebies.   Here's my entry...TFL!

Apples dipped in chocolate and caramel are yummy to my tummy.

Some more Angels

As promised, here are the other two card creations that I made using A Day for Diasies' angels.  You should really check out her store.  TFL!

I could just picture this little being sitting on a cloud keeping watch over us.  How precious.  This would make a very cute baby card.

Do you know what happens whe you wish upon a star?  Well, I believe that angels collects them and write your wishes on back of them and then hangs them back in the sky.  When you see a shooting star that is a wish being fulfilled, racing across the sky to it's owner.  Again, this is what I believe. :-)

Angels...Angels...Angels...

Don't you just love it when you discover a new digi site?  As you know, I am member of CDAC (if you haven't joined you should) and there is always a new digi company popping up over there almost daily.  I love it!  Well, my recent little treasure is called "A Day for Daisies."  Tammy, the owner and her sister make the cutest little digis.  I joined her group yesterday, bought a bunch of digis, colored them, paired them with sentiments, and created cards (which I will show below).  Wooo...I have added this site to my favs list and applied to be a DT member. 

I was attracted to this group, because of the angel images.  Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE angels and the color purple.  She makes the cutest little beings that are so delicate and lovely.  I have added her blog and store information at the end of this post.  Okay, without further ado here's my creations using the gorgeous angel digis from A Day for Daisies.  I welcome your feedback.

Fashion Fades...

Greetings!

I must say that I have never been a "slave to fashion."  In my mind the only purpose that clothes served was to cover your body.  *gigl*  As I have gotten older, I find myself attracted to certain colors.  I'm finding this to be the case when I sit down to create a card.  Looking through my stash of cards that I have created, I noticed that several of them are pink/green color combos and these are not even my favorite colors.  I wondered why this was the case.  I've come to the conclusion that several craft companies are to blame.  They make papers, embellishments, and cardstocks in these colors so I am force to use them.  At least this is what I have reasoned in my mind. *gigl*
